Washington, D.C.

I had wonderful and safe travels from Lexington, KY to Washington, D.C by plane and then to Silver Spring, Maryland by metro. I am staying with my family about 40 minutes outside of the city with a very simple metro route to my shadowing assignment at FORM Architects. I have been very pleased with the quality design of D.C. transportation, both systematically and aesthetically. I am looking forward to meeting my contact at FORM, Carrie, and being involved in her work this week! The cherry blossoms are in peak bloom at the end of this week, which is a real treat because they only bloom for (at most) 14 days per year!
